Prior to founding Explorer’s Lens LLC, Chuck spent 30 years in a variety of business, operational and functional leadership roles.  Most recently Chuck served as Senior Vice President, Procurement, North America for BASF Corporation based in Florham Park, NJ.  In this function, he had overall responsibility for procurement across North America, including raw materials, energy, technical, and logistics procurement.  Prior to that, Chuck led BASF’s North American Paper Chemicals Division as Senior Vice President following an assignment as VP leading BASF’s Adhesives and Construction Polymers Business in North America; both based in Charlotte, NC.

Chuck’s BASF career also includes experience as Director, Transportation and Distribution, Florham Park, NJ; Marketing Manager, Decorative Coatings, Ludwigshafen, Germany and Deputy Plant Manager, Ludwigshafen, Germany; as well as the roles of Site Supply Chain Manager and Production Superintendent at BASF‘s Monaca, PA manufacturing site.

 

Chuck began his career with BASF as a Process Engineer at the Monaca site, having previously worked as a Process Design Engineer with Eichleay Engineers, Inc., Pittsburgh, PA.

 

A Pittsburgh native, Chuck earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh as well as an MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
